FOLLOW ONE EXAMPLE
Alex's household still owes $50
Adult $45 + youth $35 + toddler $0 = $80. Record a $25 payment after it is received and a separate $5 approved credit: $80 − $25 − $5 = $50 due.
A credit reduces what the household owes; it is not cash received. A refund returns money and can increase what remains due unless the charge or credit is adjusted as appropriate.
Explain offline payments
Your committee provides its actual payment instructions. A family paying elsewhere does not update the website automatically. An authorized committee member records the received payment.
Correct mistakes with history
If $20 was entered when the actual payment was $25, use the payment correction controls and record the reason. Preserve the original entry and its correction instead of hiding how the balance changed.
Keep status links private
Real families save their confirmation and private registration-status link. Link recovery helps them return without creating a second registration. This public sample has no usable registration codes or private links.
